# Java Coffee Variety

Java descends from Abysinia, an Ethiopian landrace long filed under Typica until genetic testing set the record straight. Still uncommon enough that most drinkers have never knowingly tasted it, Java produces a clean, floral cup with citrus or berry-toned acidity, without the fragility or cost of rarer varieties like Gesha.
